1939年4月，侵华日军在南京设立了一个秘密的细菌生化武器的作战基地——荣字1644部队。它是继臭名昭著的713部队以后建立的规模更大、更为隐蔽的细菌武器基地。荣字1644部队主要是研究、培养、制造致命的细菌：霍乱（即虎烈拉）、伤寒、鼠疫等用于实战。在它存在的六年间，因试验细菌武器而杀害的人数最少为1200人，其中包含着进行惨无人道的“活体解剖”而惨死在手术台上的人。他们中间大多数是中国人，也有少数其他国籍的外国人。 1998年8月，在1644部队的生产工厂遗址挖出了几十具被支解的尸骨，至今仍可检测出含有霍乱弧菌肠毒素基因，他们就是当年被活体解剖的所谓“原木”的遗骨。 从1940年到1942年1644部队就曾数次参与了对我浙江、湖南、江西等省的细菌战攻击，造成了大规模的疫情流行和成千上万的中国民众死亡。 日本军国主义者进行惨无人道的细菌战，罪恶滔天、神人共愤。面对这段惨痛的历史，中国人民和一切正义的人们当然是刻骨铭心、永志不忘的。。In the quiet countryside, the naturalistic family from Tokyo deprive the local man of his place to live.
