During the cold and rainy off-season a man arrives in a seaside town and, giving his name only as Pierre, checks into the only hotel which remains open. His arrival arouses curiosity and a degree of suspicion, as people note that he appears to know the area, yet gives no explanation for his presence at that bleak time of year in the dead-end town.。以香港80年代号称东南亚第一的销金窝“万国城”夜总会为故事舞台，呈现金光闪耀、躁动热烈的香港霓虹时代，一班来自不同阶层的午夜丽人——妈妈桑沙律（陈法蓉饰）、助理大班&警花卧底Michelle（姚子羚饰）、“万国城”头牌Monica（蔡洁饰）等汇聚于此，见证着彼此的浮沉与挣扎、闪亮与熄灭，也卷入了风起云涌的情欲纠葛、江湖争斗之中。。
