该片讲述的是周扬和安琪在大学时候相爱，但步入社会后为了工作，生活而引发了一些不愉快，最后两人不和而散，两个人还是相爱的，在经过十年后的一次同学聚会上，两人相遇，周杨开始又对安琪展开追求。。故事的发生地，呼应了《我爱我家》中的杨柳社区，是一个名为杨柳新城的养老社区，里面住着性格迥异的长者，虽已至“耳顺”之年，但仍活力满满，乐于尝试新鲜玩意，剧本杀、拍电影、搞直播、黄昏恋也谈得火热，甚至在养老社区里办起了婚礼……六个大学生志愿者融入了长者们的生活，两代人的观念、习惯碰撞也是看点满满。。英国C4电视喜剧节目改编的电影，Ali G Indahouse: The Movie is a 2002 movie directed by Mark Mylod starring the fictional character Ali G, performed by the British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen.
