45岁的小文妈一直在国营针织厂工作，下岗后，又逢好友病故，一度消沉，她摆地摊卖内衣，生意艰难，在结识卖编花的老人后，受到她乐观情绪的影响，心情好起来。儿子小文与女友玲玲也想方设法的让她高兴。小文妈对钢琴班的陈健老师产生好感。当她决定参加中老年模特队时，陈健却表示反对，但她坚持一试，终于获得成功，陈健也改变了态度，前来祝贺。。A documentary potted history of WW2, the novelty here is that most of the film has been "colorized".
