一位女歌手在目睹一位歌迷诡异自尽后，身边开始出现各种奇怪的微笑现象，其歌迷纷纷精神失常，开始疯狂地微笑，对女歌手穷追不舍。。本作は「ドクターX～外科医・大門未知子～」のスピンオフドラマシリーズ第5弾。東帝大学病院を追われたあと、私立の名門・成鏡大学病院に客員准教授として招かれた加地秀樹の姿が描かれる。加地はそこでバスケットボール界の若きスーパースター・大根類の手術をサポートするために呼ばれたフリーランスの麻酔科医・城之内博美と再会。なんとか東帝大復帰への足がかりを作ろうと画策していく。。Lyle Jensen is subject to sudden and violent outbursts, and he is committed to the juvenile wing of the Northwood Mental Institution.
