上海青年童威和健生五金商行老板肖健生因涉嫌刺杀日本人和井久见而被日本宪兵队逮捕。肖健生的身份被暴露，他劝童威出狱之后去苏区投奔新四军，投入到抗战的队伍中。并托童威把一块怀表和一封血书交给一个叫周丽的人。后来童威加入上海地下党与日本特务展开搏斗。因任务需要与未婚妻陈雨虹产生了误解，后来随着任务的进行两人冰释前嫌，但因此暴露身份。为了满载着无缝钢管和军用物资的运输船在周丽的率领下顺利驶向苏区，献出了生命。。中年建筑师遇上人生瓶颈，在家被老婆嫌弃，公司小开兔死狗烹。失业的他在曼谷街头蓦然回首，瞥见大象Pop Aye，忆起欢快的童年时光，毅然买下大象，却发现都市生活容不下他俩，打算和老象一路向北返乡。这趟人与象的公路之旅，途中状况不断，所幸万能的象鼻领着他俩，与沿路风景相伴。。The 'Owner House' has been vacant for several years because of its very dark history but with the recent series of murders it has been taken to the next level.
