Most of its inhabitants work in a mine, digging the earth night and days in the hope of finding the precious ore that will get them out of poverty. But on top of the excruciating hardship of the work, they also have to fear an attack from the army.。节目为国内首档热血竞技真人秀，会将人类历史中不同真实绝境抽象提炼成竞技关卡，由甄子丹发起号召，率领一众强者在节目中组成队伍、通力合作，不断克服极限绝境。这批来自社会各界的身心俱强者将在此面对挑战，完成“体魄、精神、人格”的全方位试炼。。大学の非常勤講師として働く昼間吉人（３1）（岡山天音）は、妊娠中の姉から甥っ子・幸太（10）を押し付けられ、預かることに。しかし間もなく、幸太が失踪。吉人はどうにか幸太を探し出すと、現実に絶望し、意味ありげに「ここじゃないどっかに行きたい」という幸太に共感。二人の関係は深まり、共に吉人の専門である悲観主義（ぺシミズム）を突き詰めていく。“人生を悲観しつつも、どこか楽しい”不思議な共同生活を送る二人。やがて、それぞれにとって最悪の悲劇が起こる。。
